PFR Supports NASADAD National Treatment Network

Through the Partners for Recover (PFR) Initiative, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (SAMHSA/CSAT) is supporting the National Association of State Alcohol and Drug Abuse Directors (NASADAD) in the development of a National Treatment Network (NTN).

Led by State addiction treatment agencies, the NTN is intended to promote and support the adoption of evidence-based or promising practices in the treatment of substance use disorders. NTN emphasizes comprehensive, culturally responsive approaches.

SAMHSA/CSAT is providing resources to support the facilitation of the NTN Steering Committee's planning process. The outcome of the planning process will be the development of a two-year work plan and NTN operating procedures. The NTN will serve as a permanent national structure for facilitating dialogue to improve programs and practices in the substance use disorder treatment field.
